The Imo state house of assembly has removed it’s Deputy Speaker, Rt Hon Amarachi Iwuanyanwu.
Iwuanyanwu was impeachment Tuesday afternoon in Owerri, the Imo State capital.
The House is also reported to have recalled its seven members that were earlier suspended, among them is Hon Uche Ogbuagu.
This was sequel to a resolution signed by 18 out of the 27 lawmakers of the assembly, presented before the plenary on Tuesday.
The resolution was summited by the member for Orsu State Constituency, Hon. Ekene Nnodim.
Receiving the resolution, the speaker, Rt. Hon. Paul Emezim, said:
“since this resolution was signed by 18 members, out of the 27, the resolution stands.”
