A 14-year-old suspected bandit confessed to have killed two persons during an attack in Katsina state.
It was gathered that the suspect who is from Tsamben Dankulumbo village in Jibiya Local Government Area was arrested by the police.
The police paraded the suspect alongside 19 others on Friday, spokesman of the State Police Command, SP Gambo Isah confirms.
According to him, the teenager has confessed to have killed two persons during an attack by bandits in Mallamawa community of Jibia local government area some months back.
“The boy has confessed to us that he has participated in several attacks on villages within and outside the state where he said he could remember killing two people in Mallamawa. He also participated in attacks on Dankulumbo and Kukar Babangida all in Jibia local government area. He has also rustled an unspecified number of animals during several attacks.”
The teenage bandit said:
“Malik, our leader, taught me how to use the AK-47 rifle in the forest. When we attacked Mallamawa village, I shot and killed two persons. I have also been involved in several cable rustling attacks. On one occasion, I was given N50,000 as my share which I handed to Malik.
SP Gambo said the teenager was also involved in the attack on Dankulumbo, Kukar Babangida village among others in Jibiya Local Government Area where several cows were rustled.
According to him, efforts are in top gear to bring their commander, Maliki under police net.
